We'd love to be there. We typically bring the layout out to the public about 12 times a year. We've been to care homes and local festivals in addition to the usual model railroad shows in the Portland area. We can even show the layout at outdoor shows, as we also have our own tent we can use to cover the layout.

Before we agree to a show, we need to make sure a few requirements are met:

• The layout is 18 feet by 36 feet.

• Indoor space requirements: 26 feet by 44 feet.

  This will allow 32 inches of wheelchair room on any side.

• Outdoor space requirements: 30 feet by 50 feet.

• Power requirements: 110 V, 20 Amp circuit.

  If anything else is plugged into this circuit, raise the amperage requirements accordingly.

• Ground should be as level as possible

  It does not have to be perfectly level, but ground level should not vary more than 6 inches between any two points.

• Access available for truck and trailer

• If an indoor show, need a sheltered location to load/unload

• Doorways between unload area and display room must be 36 inches wide and clear of obstructions.

• Indoor shows must be on the ground floor. No stairs or elevators between the unload area and the display room.

• For outdoor shows, we'd like to set up the tent the day before the show.

• Show times should allow for at least four hours of running time (indoor shows) or six hours of running time (outdoor shows).

  We'd like to be able to run trains for a longer period of time than it takes to set up.

Inclement weather policy

If we're scheduled to show at an outdoor show, please be aware that our tent is meant to protect from the sun and not from rain. If the weather forecast for the day of the show looks threatening, we will cancel. Our layout really does not like to get wet.
